How to Organize Your Life and Get Rid of Clutter Audio
Published in Audio Cassette by Career Track Pub & Fred Pryor Seminars (January, 1996)
Author: A. B. Jackson
Average review score:

EXCELLENT - You can only laugh at yourself !
I thought I was beyond repair... but Ab is so humerous and the live tape lets you laugh along with others who are obviously in the same boat. The systems he discusses to de-clutter your life are terrific for someone like myself who just can't seem to get past the clutter of paper both at home and in the office. I am tackeling closets, attics, garages and showing no mercy. I highly recommend this tape for anyone who needs motivation for getting the job done.... which you know in your heart has needed to be done for months/years.

The best material I have come across to get rid of clutter!
Ab Jackson is humerous and upbeat in all his seminars/tapes. He makes a bothersome task enjoyable to tackle with many simple and logical tips. "Organize Your Life and Get Rid of Clutter" is perfect for anyone that would like to get rid of clutter and become more organized. He addresses many areas and introduces many 'systems' to help people become more organized. This tape is not only a delight and funny to listen to, but in just one day, I have already began to reduce the clutter in my life. I even found out the "why" behind what caused me to become a "clutterholic"! I give it a five star rating and would recommend it to anyone that would like to improve their organizational skills!

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (July, 1985)
Author: Philip C. Jackson
Average review score:

Great Introduction and not only that.
I was searching for a book that will introduce me to artificial intelligence concepts; and although this book seemed old (1985), I bought it because of it's low price. Then when I opened it for the first time I was amazed how great it is. It worths a whole lot more. I soon found out that some concepts are for ever, and no matter how old they will be current in the future.

Great coverage of automata!
This book has really good coverage of various topics. It even gives a tuple definition of cellular automata on page 348 and an example using that definition for Conway's Game of Life on page 349! A great value!

The ISO 14001 Implementation Guide : Creating an Integrated Management System
Published in Hardcover by John Wiley & Sons (February, 1997)
Author: Suzan L. Jackson
Average review score:

Simply ISO 14001
This book is an invaluable asset in the EHS managers' quiver of reference tools. Ms Jackson presents what initially seems like a disjointed standard in terms that a layman can understand. Additionally, she adds insight and tips to guide even the seasoned veteran through the labyrinth of requirements that is ISO 14001. Graphics, examples and case studies are used throughout the book to impart to the reader a practical implementation scheme based on business case scenarios.

Excellent Reference for Creating an EMS
I would consider the book to be helpful to both the novice as well as the seasoned EMS Manager. The writers style makes the detailed subject readable and enjoyable. I look forward to seeing addtional books on this subject from Ms. Jackson.

Jackson Hole Hikes: A Guide to Grand Teton National Park, Jedediah Smith, Teton & Gros Ventre Wilderness and Surrounding National Forest Land
Published in Paperback by Alpenbooks (June, 1999)
Author: Rebecca Woods
Average review score:

Review of Rebecca Woods guide to hiking in Jackson, WY area
Of the four books I read on the subject, this one was by far the best. It describes hikes that are "family friendly" as well as those which are more advanced and appropriate for hikers with experience in the high country. There are many hikes mentioned which are relatively unknown, and not on the popular "maintained" trails of the Tetons. Of the few which I had time to take, her directions were quite accurate. For someone visiting the Jackson Hole area who loves to hike, especially in the high country, this book is excellent.

Expansive
The new edition (1999) of this book includes more hikes than before and covers the entire area surrounding Jackson. The descriptions and directions are easy to read and understand. The author also includes the elevation changes and difficulty of the hikes. I like this book because it covers a wide area and many popular and less popular hikes in and around Jackson Hole. The index also includes more place names and destinations than the table of contents, which is great. I recommend this book because, unlike many others, it includes hikes in Grand Teton National Park as well as those outside the park.

Jackson's Woman (Harlequin Intrigue, No. 504)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (February, 1999)
Author: Judi Lind
Average review score:

Great suspense and wonderful characters.
I found the book to be fast-paced and very suspenseful. The romance was well developed. If you like romantic suspense you can't go wrong with this selection.

This is a truly great read!
When CHP officer Vera McBride travels through time and finds a posse on her trail, wanting to lynch her for murder, there's only one person she can trust. Sexy Jericho Jackson. A real man's man hero after my own heart. The two of them wrangle with their own emotions while trying to find a way to clear Vera's name. Jericho half thinks she's crazy and is half in love with her. Until she realizes that she's traveled through time, Vera is sure the posse is really after Jericho and keeps him at arms' length. The sexual tension between them is terriffic and I never saw the "villain" ahead of time. One of Ms. Lind's best books.

Jesus in My Golf Cart
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (January, 2002)
Authors: Bernita Jackson Brown, Paul Winer, and Wanda Lund
Average review score:

Inspirational
Jesus in my Golf Cart is a humorous, yet down to earth chat with Jesus as the protagonist goes about her daily life. In this case it is playing golf. Bub (Satan) puts in his two cents worth from time to time, just as in life.
It is a book worthy of the author's faith and talent. It reminds one that whatever you go or whatever you are doing, all you have to do is ask Jesus what he thinks.
A fine inspirational piece of work.

Inspirational yet funny
Jesus in my Golf Cart is a fasinating book with Jesus and occassionaly "Bub" (Satan) butting into the conversation to get his point across. Ms. Brown has caught the essence of religious belief that stays with a true believer as they go about their daily tasks or play.
This book provides insight into walking with Jesus and a few laughs besides. Who ever said Jesus didn't laugh?

John Doble's Journal and Letters from the Mines: Volcano, Mokelumne Hill, Jackson and San Francisco 1851-1865
Published in Paperback by Volcano Press (March, 1999)
Authors: John Doble and Charles Lewis Camp
Average review score:

John Doble's Diary
One of the best journals of the early gold rush that includes a series of letters written by Doble before and during the Civil War. Poor spelling, no punctuation as Doble recorded his day-to-day experiences as a miner. His descriptions of life and times, of bonanza and borrasca, of the wagon trains arriving, and especially his description of his cabin, are classic. I have lived in Volcano, and spent many hours searching out the places described. After reading of his anguish over the death of his good friend, I went to the cemetery and found the tombstone placed there by him.

Living history as many of the places described in the book remain, but written from a perspective long lost.

Gold Trackers Delight!
My father and I got excited when we ran across this book documenting the exploits of John Doble in the gold country of Pine Grove, California.

Doble's Journal documents his search for gold specifically in the Pine Grove, Jackson areas. One could take this journal and retrace Doble's steps to find the best areas to prospect.

I definitly would add this one to my prospecting reference library.

John Henry: The Legendary Folk Hero
Published in Paperback by Rabbit Ears (June, 1900)
Authors: Brad Kessler, Denzel Washington, and Barry Jackson
Average review score:

Reading with the King
That's Denzel Washington (not Eric Clapton) teaming his prodigious talents with those of blues legend B.B. King in this powerful retelling of the classic American legend. This is another treasure from Rabbit Ear productions: a beautifully illustrated book that can be read on its own, or with the included cassette. Go for the cassette first: You'll be treated to Denzel Washington's warm, rich, folksy, awe-struck, conversational narration.

"So y'all listen up, 'cause I'm gonna tell you the guaranteed, gold plated, ninety-nine-point-nice percent truth about John Henry."

Then, enjoy the inimitable riffs of B.B. King, as he and his guitar (presumably "Lucille") sing out with the pure, clear, authenticity of the blues: "My name is John Henry. I'm a born natural man. I was born one morning with a hammer in my hand . . . " This is collector material.

John Henry's triumph defends the dignity and perseverance of human labor against the encroaching machine. In its own small way, with a low-tech assist from the aural majesty of Washington and King, this volume preserves and extends the pleasures of the written page.

my child has listened to this tape for the last 90 days
John Henry is one of the best Rabbit Ears titles - which is saying a lot. BB King is wonderful; Denzel Washington is wonderful. I'm not writing this for me - but if my 8 year old goes to sleep to it every (I mean, make sure you rewind that tape) night, then it is a wonderful book

A vivid picture of the time
This book captures the spirit of the plains and the perilous journey that confronted Dust Bowl migrants who headed for California. Route 66 comes to life. The characters are real, and the voice of the narrator is convincing.
